REVIEW: ONE WOMAN SHOW @ AMBASSADORS THEATRE

🎭 One Woman Show

📍 Ambassadors Theatre, West Street, London, WC2H 9ND

🗓 Wednesday 18th January 2023

⭐️⭐️⭐⭐️⭐

After hearing good things about Liz Kingsman's One Woman Show, I definitely wanted to see it before it closes this weekend and managed to grab a front row seat for last nights performance.

This show didn't disappoint. I don't want to write too much about the plot because I don't want to give anything away but its a very clever parody on One Woman Shows that's full of plot twists, audience trickery and hilarious stories.

This show is extremely clever is both its writing and production and Kingsman is almost playing a heightened version of herself. She unashamedly shows how women can be flawed and ridiculous as well as sexy and vulnerable.

She is overly self-critical, but is a competent story teller and is able to switch accents seamlessly.

At 1 hour 10 minutes, it's not a long show at all but I was fully engaged from start to finish and although as it goes on it becomes more silly and extreme, it never once loses momentum.

I laughed throughout the entire show, which is perhaps one of the freshest and wittiest things I have seen in a long time.

Although probably my shortest review ever, I cannot emphasise enough how great this show is.

One Woman Show is at the Ambassadors Theatre until Saturday 21st January, but is currently SOLD OUT! Contact the box office daily to see if there are any returns or day tickets as you don't want to miss this performance!

The show then transfers to Sydney Opera House for a limited run so if you miss it in London and you happen to be in Australia in February you can catch it there!
