My Story

Hi, I'm Neill.

I have been in love with the theatre since the age of 7 when I first saw a production of Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story at my local venue the Theatre Royal Plymouth. In the 30 plus years that have followed I have seen numerous theatre shows in venues across the UK.

I adore the buzz of live theatre and especially love musicals. I have recently discovered a love for writing so thought I'd bring these two loves together and create this blog to review theatre productions. Plus it gives me an excuse to spend even more time at the theatre!

What started as a hobby has grown quickly and after just 10 weeks of starting my blog I received my very first press invite! This was unexpected as I hadn't reached out to anyone or put myself out there. I feel honoured that people seem to like my style of writing, which I refer to as informal and conversational. I don't fill my reviews with 'theatre speak' because I feel that could alienate some readers.

You'll find all my reviews right here as well as any blogs that I write. To see what I'm up to on a day to day basis and which theatres I'm in around the country, then please follow me on Instagram and Facebook where you'll also find the latest theatre news as well as press releases from theatres I work with. Just search for @pinkprincetheatre on either platform.

Although I live in the South West, I am very lucky to have a base in London which means that I can visit the West End at least once a month to watch shows. I also have a very patient and supportive husband who manages our small business and looks after our fur babies when I'm away and sat in theatres!

I would like to thank everyone who has supported me so far in this venture. I'm often at the theatre by myself so if you ever see me, then pop over and say hi. I promise I don't bite!
