BROADWAY'S BEN JACKSON WALKER TO JOIN
& JULIET
FOR THE FINAL DATES OF UK TOUR

Everybody rock your body because a new Romeo is joining the smash-hit West End and Broadway musical & JULIET for its final UK tour dates.
Ben Jackson Walker, who has been starring as Romeo in the Broadway production of & JULIET, has taken over the role in the current UK tour, replacing Jack Danson, who is no longer appearing in the show due to personal circumstances.
& JULIET also stars Gerardine Sacdalan (Made in Dagenham) as Juliet, with Jay McGuiness (The Wanted) as Shakespeare. It was announced in February that McGuiness would be extending his tour dates, and will now play Shakespeare in Birmingham, Stoke, Sheffield, Newcastle, Truro and Cardiff, with Matt Cardle playing Shakespeare in Southend-on-Sea.
The cast also includes Sandra Marvin (Waitress, Sister Act) as Angélique, Dr Ranj Singh (former resident Doctor on This Morning) and Lee Latchford-Evans (Steps) sharing the role of Lance at selected dates, Lara Denning (Matilda the Musical) as Anne Hathaway, Jordan Broatch (42 Balloons) as May, and Kyle Cox (Crazy For You) as Francois.
& JULIET also features Harriet Caplan-Dean as Eleanor, Alexander Kranz as Lennox, Andilé Mabhena as Augustine (and Dance Team), Liam Morris as Richard, Psalms-Nissi Myers-Reid as Lucy (and Alternate Juliet), Michael Nelson as Henry (and 1st Cover Shakespeare & Lance), Toni Paise as Violet, Katie Ramshaw as Nell / Lady C, Rosie Singha as Judith, Aaron Shales as Gregory (and Dance Team), Nia Stephen as Imogen, Samuel Wilson-Freeman as Fletcher (and Resident Director and Dance Captain, 2nd Cover Shakespeare & Lance), and Joe Wolstenholme as Off-stage Swing.
This hilarious critically acclaimed musical flips the script on the greatest love story ever told and asks, what would happen next if Juliet didn’t end it all over Romeo?
With a book by David West Read, the show has choreography by Jennifer Weber and set design by Soutra Gilmour. The musical’s tunes are crafted by Max Martin and his collaborators, while costume design is by Paloma Young, and musical supervision, orchestration, with arrangements by Bill Sherman.
The production also features lighting design by Howard Hudson, sound design by Gareth Owen, video and projection design by Andrzej Goulding, hair, wig and makeup design by Suzy Barrett, musical direction, additional arrangements and orchestrations by Dominic Fallacaro, and casting direction by Stuart Burt.
Songs featured in the show include chart toppers “…Baby One More Time”, “Roar”. “Since U Been Gone", “It’s My Life”, “I Want It That Way”, and “Can’t Stop the Feeling!”.
After its successful run at London’s Shaftesbury Theatre in the West End from 2019 to 2023 and its current Broadway residency at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, the touring production opened last year at Manchester’s Opera House and is still on the road.
The show will stop at Birmingham Hippodrome (21st April - 3rd May), Southend Cliffs Pavilion (5th - 10th May), Stoke Regent (12th - 17th May), Sheffield Lyceum (20th - 31st May), Newcastle Theatre Royal (2nd - 7th June), Truro Hall for Cornwall (10th - 14th June) and Cardiff Millenium Centre (16th - 28th June).
